The story behind the work
Nancy lost her mother to cancer at age eight. She and her sister went to live with their paternal grandmother, who became a steadying presence through enormous change. Early on, Nancy learned that life can shift without warning—and that the way you respond to those shifts shapes everything that comes next.
She began working at fourteen and saved money for college, completing her undergraduate degree in social work. Life, marriage, family, and multiple moves changed the trajectory of her original career plans. After a divorce at thirty-three, Nancy returned to school while raising her children—earning an M.S. in Counseling and Vocational Evaluation.
That season taught her something she now shares with every client: people can change direction without losing who they are. Reinvention is not erasure. It is becoming more fully yourself.
Her professional journey evolved into career counseling, coaching, leadership development, speaking, training, neuroscience, psychology, and business ownership. She founded Crossroads Coaching and Career Counseling to help people navigate their own crossroads with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
